Project Overview
The West White Rose Project is an offshore oil extension of the established White Rose field, located in Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. This venture, with a production capacity of around 75,000 barrels of oil per day, plays a crucial role in the region's energy sector. The development of this project involved constructing and installing a concrete gravity structure, or an artificial island, to facilitate oil extraction from the underwater oil fields. This structure hosts topsides that house the processing facilities, living quarters, and drilling rigs, which enable efficient oil extraction and handling.
Drilling wells forms a major part of the operation, with subsea infrastructure playing a crucial role in transporting the extracted oil. Apart from the economic benefits in terms of job creation and industry stimulation, the project emphasizes responsible operations, aiming to minimize environmental impact while enhancing energy security.
Leavitt Cranes' contribution to the West White Rose Project primarily encompassed parts and service support. Initially, our task involved supplying parts for the Kroll K4000 tower crane. As the project progressed, so did our involvement, extending to the provision of service technicians during crucial stages.
A significant instance of our involvement was during a critical 2-month period of slip form operations. Our technical team was deployed on-site, providing essential support and ensuring smooth and efficient operations during this phase.
As part of our extended support, we supplied the following material handling and personnel equipment that contributed to the efficient progress of the project:
We offer various payment options, such as renting, financing, leasing, or rental purchase, for all cranes in our fleet.
Safety is our priority, and we strive to make your worksite a safer and healthier environment. Our technicians and subcontractors adhere to strict safety precautions to prevent accidents and mitigate hazards
We offer preventative maintenance programs to help you minimize downtime. Our factory-trained technicians will ensure your crane operates efficiently throughout the year.
You receive continued support even after your purchase with our cost-effective parts support and industry-leading operator training. Additionally, we provide on-site and online training options to ensure operators can handle the equipment safely and effectively.
