Overhead Crane Training

This overhead training course gives equipment operators a solid foundation in health and safety standards, preventative maintenance, and the proper procedures for safely operating overhead cranes.

Delivered through multimedia presentations and interactive discussions, course content is reinforced through operator workbooks and supplementary handouts. Leavitt Cranes' overhead training courses have three components, classroom theory, a written exam, and practical skills assessment including hands on experience with your overhead crane.

We also offer Crane Safety Ltd. enhanced training and orientation options for overhead crane training. Give your operators the added benefit of booking their training with our instructors that are journeyman crane operators, each with more than 30 years of experience in crane operation. This overhead crane training course will be tailored to your operator's experience, crane, and application.

Overhead crane training is a 1 day (8 hour) course customized to meet the needs of your facility and the equipment that you run. Our team will customize the curriculum to meet your sites needs and hold the training onsite at a time that works best for you.

Please note that novice operators can take advantage of an extended 1 or 2 day course format to gain additional hands on experience.

Overhead crane operators will receive a workbook and supplementary handouts upon successful completion of this course.

Looking to be re-certified on an overhead crane? Operators who have previously been certified by Leavitt Training or through another qualified provider can speak with our account managers about signing up for a re-certification course.
